Preventative care

The simple stuff, done well, year after year.

Cleanings, sealants, gum therapy, and home care — the unglamorous work that does the most to protect a mouth over a lifetime. Anchored by the Dental Fitness conversation at every visit.

Why prevention comes first

Most dental disease is preventable. Most dental disease is also predictable.

Both of those things are true at the same time, which is why Cisco Dental organizes care around prevention rather than around procedures. The clinical evidence is clear: routine professional cleanings, well-timed sealants, gum-tissue maintenance, daily home care, and water-first hydration prevent the great majority of cavities and gum disease that show up in adult populations.

Add whole-mouth diagnosis and the Dental Fitness conversation, and prevention becomes specific to the person — not generic advice to brush and floss.

None of this is a uniquely dental idea. Prevention is simply how careful people already run their lives — an oil change before the engine fails, a roof patched before the rains, a clean house before anyone gets sick. The mouth works the same way: small, steady upkeep is cheaper, calmer, and far more reliable than the repair that follows neglect. We just make that everyday instinct specific to your teeth.

Where Dental Fitness fits in

Every prevention visit includes a Dental Fitness conversation.

A cleaning is a useful event. A cleaning paired with a real conversation about hydration, beverage frequency, dry mouth, and daily behavior is a useful event with a long memory.
