Cisco, Texas Dentist

Jarred K. Donald, DDS, FAGD

A fifth-generation Texan and a dentist of more than 26 years, with experience from the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex to the Gulf Coast, the Big Country, and South Central Texas. Today he leads a prevention-first practice on Conrad Hilton Boulevard in Cisco.

Bio

Dr. Jarred K. Donald built Cisco Dental with his wife, Lisa. He owns the practice and is its dentist, a general dentist with more than 26 years behind the chair. He grew up in Victoria, in rural South Texas, the fifth generation of his family to call the state home. After practicing in much of Texas, Dr. Donald chose Cisco on purpose: a place to do serious, modern dentistry at a human scale, for the families, ranchers, retirees, and business owners of the Big Country.

His path covered a lot of ground. He has worked across the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex, along the Gulf Coast in Lake Jackson, Freeport, and Bay City, throughout greater Houston, and in Brownwood, Abilene, and South Central Texas. Early in his career, he prepared U.S. Army soldiers to be dental-ready before deployment. Different towns, different water, different patients, and the same lesson in every one of them.

The lesson was this. By the time a patient sits down, the damage usually started years earlier: in the water they drink, the things they sip all day, the wear a mouth quietly absorbs. That observation became his work. He calls it Dental Fitness, a prevention-first, whole-mouth way of practicing that treats daily habits as the real frontier of oral health and gives patients plain language for the risks they can actually control.

The philosophy is backed by discipline. Cisco Dental ties cosmetic, preventive, and restorative care to the conditions that drive it, supported by a private, rule-based decision-support system that helps organize each patient's priorities. The diagnosis and the treatment plan stay where they belong, with the clinician.

"The teeth and gums are part of the rest of the body. Most of what we end up fixing started long before a person sat in the chair — in the water they trust, the drinks they reach for, the way the mouth has been quietly compensating for years. Prevention, taken seriously, is the most powerful thing we do."

Education & training

Texas A&M, Baylor College of Dentistry, and a Fellowship few dentists hold.

Dr. Donald studied at Texas A&M University and earned his dental degree at Texas A&M University (Baylor) College of Dentistry in Dallas. In the years since, he has trained well beyond general practice, in orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, and geriatric dentistry. That range lets him take on patients with special needs and complicated histories that other offices often refer out.

Fellow, Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD)

Fewer than 14% of dentists in the country earn Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Donald is one of them. It takes more than 500 hours of continuing education, a comprehensive examination, and membership in good standing with the Academy — a standard most dentists never set out to meet.

He has not slowed down since. The continuing education is constant, and it has a purpose: current, comfortable, well-judged care for everyone who sits in his chair. The mission at Cisco Dental is plain. Treat every patient, simple case or complicated one, with dignity and respect.

What this practice values

Four commitments behind every visit.

Personal accountability

One dentist, personally answerable to every patient he treats. No rotating roster, no corporate brand.

Whole-mouth diagnosis

Teeth, gums, jaw, saliva, and daily habits read as one system, not one tooth at a time.

Prevention in plain language

A Dental Fitness conversation at every visit, in words that make risk and progress easy to act on.

Disciplined systems

Modern clinical and operational discipline behind the scenes, never a substitute for the clinician's judgment.

Beyond the practice

Outside the operatory.

Dr. Donald is president of two 501(c)(3) educational nonprofits, The Dental Fitness Institute and SDF2. Both support research and public education, and both operate independently of the clinical practice. He also holds an ownership interest in AquaBite and related ventures, consumer beverage and education projects kept separate from patient care.

This website is operated by Liion Venom LLC, which Dr. Donald owns.

Our approach

Evidence first, applied with discipline.

Most of what makes dentistry work over a lifetime isn't dramatic. It's consistent: cleanings done well, gums cared for early, recall intervals kept, and an honest conversation about how your daily habits reach your mouth. That is what this practice is built around.

Behind the simplicity is discipline. Whole-mouth diagnosis, the Dental Fitness philosophy, and a private rule-based decision-support workflow turn those basics into a long-term plan built around the person, not a checklist.

What patients say

Quiet, steady, neighborly care.

Patient comments are reproduced verbatim from the public Google Business Profile of Cisco Dental: Jarred Donald, DDS. They are individual opinions and do not represent typical results or constitute a guarantee of outcome.

"Having lived most of my life in a big city, I am pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff at Cisco Dental. The receptionist welcomed me by name when I arrived. The dental hygienist is pleasant and communicates clearly. Dr. Donald is always smiling and pleasant."
