New patients

Welcome. Here's what the first visit looks like.

Cisco Dental's first visit is built around a full evaluation, a real conversation, and a clear plan you can walk out with. No upsell, no surprises. The goal is for you to leave understanding your mouth.

Before you come in

Bring these four things.

  1. Completed registration forms. You can fill these out at the office or ahead of time using our secure online forms (link below). Filling them out before saves chair time.
  2. Photo ID. Driver's license or state ID.
  3. Dental insurance information, if applicable. A photo of the card on your phone is usually enough.
  4. A short list of medications you currently take, including over-the-counter and supplements.

If you've had recent dental work somewhere else and have access to records or x-rays, bringing those is helpful — but not required. We can take fresh imaging if needed.

How the visit is structured

Four parts to your first appointment.

1. The conversation

We start by talking. What brought you in. What you've experienced in the past. What you'd like the long-term picture of your mouth to look like. This part matters more than people expect — it tells us what to look for during the clinical evaluation.

2. The full evaluation

Whole-mouth diagnosis means looking at the system, not just any one tooth. We evaluate the teeth, gums, jaw, bite, and soft tissues. Where appropriate, we take digital x-rays and an oral-cancer screening.

3. The Dental Fitness conversation

This is the part of the visit that is most different from a typical dental office. We talk about hydration, beverage frequency, dry mouth, and the daily habits that quietly shape long-term oral health — in plain language, with no judgment. This becomes the foundation of your prevention plan.

4. The plan

You leave with a clear picture of what we found, what (if anything) we recommend, what each option costs, and what the prevention plan looks like between visits. If treatment is needed, we explain it without urgency tactics or pressure. If nothing is needed today, we say so — and schedule the next cleaning.
