Veneers: A Simple Solution to a Wide Array of Smile Flaws
If your instinct is to cover your smile when you pose for pictures, it may be because you feel self-conscious about cosmetic issues like chipped, cracked, or discolored teeth. Porcelain veneers can conceal these problems and more. Learn more here.

If you were offered three wishes by a kind-hearted genie, would one of them be a more beautiful smile that you could feel proud of?

That reality is totally within reach for you — even if you don't happen to have a magic lamp!

The answer for many cosmetic dental problems is porcelain veneers, wafer-thin coatings that are affixed painlessly to your teeth. They camouflage a wide range of dental imperfections, and the treatment process is simpler than you may think!

Dr. Jarred Donald approaches every patient with the aim of providing a completely customized treatment plan and providing care with warmth and support. He and the Cisco Dental  staff have your comfort top of mind when you visit us, no matter what service you’re receiving. Rest assured that you’re in the best hands at our office in Cisco, Texas, for routine and cosmetic dentistry, as well as orthodontic treatment.

What are veneers, and what can they do for me?

As we noted, they’re very thin, permanent coatings for your teeth that bring brightness and beauty to your smile. They hide a multitude of smile flaws, including:

  • Chipped teeth
  • Discolored or stained teeth
  • Cracked teeth
  • Gaps between teeth
  • Oddly shaped teeth
  • Teeth that are noticeably different in size when compared with others
  • Badly worn teeth

Porcelain veneers can even be an appropriate solution for tooth alignment issues that don’t require orthodontic treatment.

SInce veneers successfully address these diverse dental issues, the treatment is not only patient-friendly, but wallet-friendly as well.

Dr. Donald’s expertise in providing treatment using porcelain veneers is informed by the specialty training he’s received in cosmetic dentistry.

Is getting porcelain veneers going to intrude on my routines?

Absolutely not! The treatment process is now so streamlined and seamless, you’ll be delighted at the ease and huge payoff you get when you commit to porcelain veneers. The ease and efficiency of the treatment are often pleasant surprises for our patients. Getting veneers requires two office visits, and after both, you can go right back to work and your regular routines.

Because this treatment is so highly tailored to your teeth alone, impressions of your teeth must be made so the veneers will fit precisely. Before the impressions are made, Dr. Donald applies a numbing agent so you’re comfortable throughout your appointment.

Next, he removes a slight amount of tooth enamel from the exterior of the tooth or teeth that are being treated. He’s essentially making room for the veneer so the front surfaces of your teeth remain uniform.

Your impressions are sent so your permanent veneers can be fabricated. While you wait for those, you’re fitted with temporary protective veneers for the interim.

Your second visit with us consists of getting your permanent, customized porcelain veneers.

Dr. Donald carefully inspects them and ensures that they will fit perfectly and look fabulous. At this stage, if he needs to do any fine tuning before the veneers are applied, he can.

The final step of your treatment is when Dr. Donald bonds the veneers to your teeth using a special dental cement product. Veneers look and feel natural, are stain-resistant, and require no special care — just the usual bruising and flossing you already do.

The final result? A smile you can flash with joy! Your veneers will be an exact match to the shade of your natural teeth, any smile problems will be concealed, and you won’t even be able to tell you have them. Equally important, neither will anyone else!

Call Cisco Dental today to schedule a consultation if you think porcelain veneers may be right for you, or book one online. We look forward to seeing you!
